[DIECAST] Minichamps Review: Sahara Force India VJM06 (A.Sutil)

Hi Guys,

We're back again with the 6th Force India review. This time it is the 2013 VJM06 driven by Adrian Sutil. So far we have reviewed two other models driven by him the VJM01 and the VJM03

Today's model is by Minichamps and is in 1/43 scale.

2013 F1 season.

The Grid changed dramatically in 2013 with many driver changes happening. HRT left the sport and the grid was down to 22 cars. Lewis Hamilton replaces Micheal Schumacher at Mercedes. Sergio Perez replace Hamilton at McLaren. Estaban Gutierrez makes his debut at Sauber in place of Perez, alongside Nico Hulkenberg. Bruno Senna was dropped by Williams for Valteri Bottas. Timo Glock left Marussia and the sport. Charles Pic then moved to Caterham with the rookie Giedo Van Der Garde making his debute along with Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton who joined Marussia.

At the end of the season Kimi Raikkonen missed two races due to an operation he had on his back. Heikki Kovalainen took over his race seat at Lotus. There was meant to be 20 races with two held at America. The Austin Grand Prix and the Grand Prix of America.  The Grand Prix of America was set to take place in the streets of New Jersey in a Double-header in America. However the race didn't go ahead and the calendar was dropped to 19 races.

Force India's 2013 season.

Nico Hulkenberg left Force India to race for Sauber after their success during the 2012 season. Sauber not only beat Force India in the constructors but they had 4 podiums. This meant that Adrian Sutil returned to the grid alongside former teammate Paul Di Resta.
Paul Di Resta had a fantastic season start to the season. Paul out performed his teammate Adrian Sutil. Scoring a career best 4th at Bahrain. However after the German GP Di Resta suffered a 7 race pointless streak. Force India finished a lonely 7th in the constructors after an early battle with McLaren.

My Thoughts.

I added this to my collection because I wanted 1 model of each Force India from every year since their debut. I picked Adrian Sutil's car because he was always my favourite Force India driver. The VJM06 colour scheme is very similar to one of my person favourites the VJM05 and it has the "vanity panel" on the nose giving it a nicer flow rather than the "platypus"  nose. I love these models they're fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to capture a piece of F1 history.
